Field updates from GTK in Finland

GTK has carried out seabed acoustic soundings and seabed sampling off the Nykarleby and Lapuanjoki River

In the summer of 2025 GTK carried out seabed acoustic soundings and seabed sampling off the Nykarleby and Lapuanjoki River, using GTK’s research vessel Geomari.

The purpose of these studies was to confirm previous observations and to know more about the composition and the structure of the seabed, and processes on the seabed.
